Peter Busch - VP of Business Development for Faceware Technologies - has nearly 20 years of entertainment production management experience, including Warner Brothers Feature Animation and Paramount Pictures. He worked on the SpongeBob Squarepants and Barnyard animated features prior to joining Image Metrics as Head of Production in 2007.
Peter focused on developing the professional Faceware software line into a multi-million dollar brand, which spun from Image Metrics in 2012, and leads the company in global business development and strategic initiatives.
Faceware's belief is that the best facial animation comes from the combination of cutting-edge technology and an intuitive artist-friendly workflow. By embracing artists with easy-to-use products, they have become the gold-standard for facial motion capture and animation tools.
Capturing human emotion so that it can be performed through digital characters is a challenge that Faceware is quite familiar with, knowing first-hand how difficult it is. They maintain a high respect for all forms of art with their products, whether it's the physical performance, the digital character rig, or the final polished animation. Each phase is equally as important and needs attention and focus in order to produce results.
Faceware’s hardware and software represent complete solutions for the interactive entertainment, film, video game, television, and commercial markets for clients such as Double Negative, ILM, Digital Domain, Blur Studios, Activision-Blizzard, Rockstar Games, Microsoft, 2K Sports, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Sega, Sony, Bethesda, and Moving Picture Company.
